SAVE OUR SANDHILLS EDUCATION PRESENTATION
“AN ODE TO LONGLEAF”

Save Our Sandhills has created a power point presentation entitled “An Ode to Longleaf” to celebrate the longleaf and to encourage ways in which to help safeguard our unique ecosystem. This power point, along with a script of additional commentary suggestions, permits other organizations and our own members to give flexibly timed educational discussions at schools and community events.  It covers the following topics, and includes many interesting and descriptive photos.

What Was . . . And Is . . . Our Sandhills?

How Did 98% of This Longleaf Pine Forest Disappear?

What Is the Sandhills Like Today?
.
What Makes the Sandhills Longleaf Pine Ecosystem Flourish?

Why Is the Sandhills So Unique?  And why should We Be Concerned About Saving It?

How Can the Sandhills Be Saved?
